Gilles Jobin

Gilles Jobin, born 1964 in Lausanne, trained as a classical dancer and is one of the most innovative choreographers on the international dance scene. Since the early 1990s, he has been producing uncompromising works that question the human body. He made his breakthrough with pieces like “A+B=X” (1997), “Braindance” (1999) and “The Moebius Strip” (2001). In recent years, Jobin has worked, among others, for the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève and the Ballet Gulbenkian in Lisbon, as well as regular engagements at the Théâtre Arsenic in Lausanne. He benefits from a “Contrat de Confiance” from the Canton de Vaud (2001–2006) and he is an Artsadmin associated artist, London.
