In Cooperation with the Goethe Institute Munich and the Pro Helvetia Swiss Cultural Foundation Zurich with support from the Kulturministerien der Länder, Deutscher Bühnenverein and the Fund for Performing Arts.

hotspots

What do places with professional theatres - for example Krakau, Basel, Münster and Tokyo - have in common? Young theatremakers express themselves on stage. They have their own things to say and they have their own ways of saying them. They have passion and ideals. But how do they manage for money? How do they cope with what is said about them, good or bad? For many, developing their work between necessity on the one hand and their ideals on the other, raises a lot more questions: Does what I’m doing matter? How do other people work? Is there anyone else like me? Where?
This programme is aimed at professional theatremakers (up to the age of 35) working in spoken drama around the world. The forum from 8th to 22nd May is intended as a platform for a comprehensive exchange of information and experiences on both a practical and theoretical level.
